Sotto Fly Fishing Club Champsionship, Belwood Lake

The Sotto Fly Fishing Club out of London, Ontario ran a fly fishing competition yesterday on Belwood Lake near Fergus.
The competition was for warm water species using either the competitors' boats or rentals that were available.
G. Loomis and Angling Sports, London were the co-sponsors for the event and we were happy to take part. I put on a lunchtime demo involving rods and lines suitable for fishing out of a boat, plus some casting and technique tips for typical lake fishing situations.
Congratulations to Cosmin Muresan and the rest of the Sotto club for a well run event. If you live in the London area, check out the Sotto Fly Fishing Club as they have an interesting schedule of events. They are bringing some European competition traditions to Southern Ontario that I think offers a great opportunity to meet people, have fun, learn stuff and catch fish. I especially have to offer my congrats on that lunch - really well done!
