Skagit
Skagit style of casting came out of the Pacific Northwest in the 1980s after a visit to the area by Göran Andersson where he demonstrated his shooting head style using double handed rods. The method has since morphed into a distinct Spey casting style: one that involves sustained anchor techniques and specially designed, heavy Skagit lines. The style is associated with casts such as the Snap T, Perry Poke and Circle Spey, plus the use of sinktips to deliver large flies.
