Connecting Running Lines
Sometimes we have to replace a running line on one of our fly lines. It could be due to damage, dissatisfaction with the current one, or a desire to change colour on a monochromatic line. Whatever the reason, here's an easy way to weld a joint between the two.
One added bonus. If we leave enough of the old running line in place, we can weld the joint so that it is under our top hand during the cast, leaving the head of the line at its ideal casting point. Great for delivering consistent casts.
